Tetlow King Planning (TKP) has gained planning permission for the creation of a Community Hub on behalf of Paragon Community Housing Group in the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames. A three year temporary permission has been secured  for the conversion of a ground floor dwelling. Paragon is looking to trial the new Community Hub, which will offer a flexible space, accessible to the local community for activities such as meetings, job clubs, office space, surgery space for the Police and GPs.

The Council raised concerns over the loss of an affordable home and the proposed use; but TKP successfully argued that the benefits to the wider community outweighed the loss of a single unit and that the activities within the building would not extend outside the proposed use. The Community Hub will be trialled, with the potential for further development should it prove a success.
