Tetlow King Planning (TKP) has obtained planning permission on behalf of a private developer to demolish existing buildings and provide five self-contained flats on a site in the London Borough of Lambeth.

TKP acted as lead agents, alongside Architects Howard Fairbairn MHK. The site previously was used as a workshop and had extensive planning history with refusals and withdrawals for redevelopment of the site. TKP successfully justified the proposals in terms of the principle of residential use and the planning benefits the redevelopment would have for the immediate area, particularly in preserving and enhancing the Conservation Area within which the site was located.

TKP justified the proposals having regard to policy, backed up by viability evidence provided by Mark Smith of Affordable-106, to negotiate an affordable housing financial contribution for the site. Following a lengthy negotiations, planning permission was secured with a signed S106 Agreement.
