Malmesbury, Wiltshire
Description
Tetlow King Planning (TKP) helped Bloor Homes to secure variations to the conditions relating to their consent for the construction of 180 residential dwellings in Malmesbury to enable an earlier start on site.
The client sought to implement the site access and on-site works simultaneously to make the most efficient use of resources and ensure the delivery of units in accordance with its business plan and also underpin the Council’s 5-year housing land supply.
TKP were able to successfully secure variations to the conditions which enabled the Council to maintain control in respect of approving the site access but also enabled Bloor Homes to make a start on site so that occupations (and therefore sales) could be taken from the site as soon as the Council approved the site access.
This provided the necessary balance between providing the Council with control over design whilst also allowing for an early start on site and valuable contribution towards the Councils 5-year housing land supply.
