TKP are delighted to have assisted BEN – Motor And Allied Trades Benevolent Fund charity – to obtain planning permission in December 2019 at their site Lynwood Court, Lynwood Village, Rise Road, Ascot https://lynwoodvillage.co.uk/news/ for new care development and additional car parking.
The application site sits within the Green Belt and is part of the 8 hectare Lynwood site which TKP originally helped obtain planning permission for in 2012 for a significant redevelopment and replacement of existing buildings. That approval remains one of the largest approvals of new build care development within the Green Belt. It is useful to note that TKP also submitted the application and the subsequent successful appeal at West Malling for care development for another client which is also located in the Green Belt http://www.tetlow-king.co.uk/very-special-circumstances-demonstrated-lead-to-kent-green-belt-success/. This was reported by Planning https://www.planningresource.co.uk/news as the most downloaded appeal decision from the COMPASS online appeals database during the first six months of 2019.
TKP submitted the BEN application to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and helped organise the consultants involved who included KWL Architects, Afla Chartered Landscape Architects, Time Pursey Arborist, Transport Planning Associates, Richard Tofts Ecology and Peter Brett Associates (part of Stantec) on drainage.
TKP were able to negotiate with the Council and organise responses to various consultee queries and concerns. It was also able to explain the issues around Green Belt development associated with national and local policy including the neighbourhood plan.
