Tetlow King Planning (TKP) are delighted to announce that Julie O’Rourke, Planner, has been elected as Joint Chair of the RTPI West of England Young Planners.
In addition to being a member of the Young Planners, Julie is also a member of RTPI South West Regional Activities Committee. The RTPI Young Planners network provides a wide variety of activities and services at a national and regional level and is open for any planners with less than ten years’ post-qualification experience. As an active member of the South West RTPI, Julie helps to shape and inform policy and practice across the South West. The skills and knowledge gained through these memberships allows her to bring creativity and different perspectives to her day to day role within TKP.
“I am extremely pleased to have been elected and I hope to build upon the work of the previous Chairs. I joined the Young Planners to promote planning and keep abreast of the latest and emerging issues within planning and the wider sector. I want to share knowledge and good practice, and to increase opportunities to network and to exchange ideas with people in different planning disciplines. As Joint Chair I can develop skills complementary to professional planning which complement my day to day work.”
James Stacey, Director said:
“I am delighted for Julie in her election. Julie is a dedicated and passionate planner, who’s enthusiasm has clearly been recognised by her Young Planner colleagues. At TKP we actively encourage all of our staff to engage with the RTPI and its range of activities. We recognise that as employers we play a key role in supporting the education and professional development activities of our staff. TKP have acquired RTPI Learning Partner status, which is a mark in excellence in learning and development practices”.
