Leonie Stoate BSc (Hons) MSc

Based in Bristol since March 2019, Leonie gained a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate, followed by an MSc in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Reading.

Leonie has over three years of planning experience in the private sector working for a broad client base. She is capable of producing detailed site appraisals, engaging in pre-application discussions, report writing and the submission and monitoring of a range of applications including major new residential developments, affordable housing schemes, new residential development on brownfield land in the Green Belt and supported living schemes to accommodate those in need of care and mental rehabilitation. Responsibilities also include monitoring and reporting on updates or changes in planning law and practice through government and media sources.

Since joining the company, Leonie has become experienced in the research and production of expert affordable housing evidence in support of planning applications at appeal and is fully proficient in co-ordinating and carrying out parish housing needs surveys on a national basis. Leonie is a key contact for the South West and West Midlands Housing Association Planning Consortiums, through which she frequently represents registered providers of affordable housing in government and local authority planning consultations.
