Cadbury’s Site, Keynsham

Description

cadburys-site-keynshamThe site is the former Cadbury’s factory site in Keynsham to the South of Bristol. Outline planning permission was granted to Taylor Wimpey for up to 700 houses, a primary school and local centre.

Three former factory buildings on the site were sold by Taylor Wimpey and Tetlow King Planning (TKP) worked with their clients to gain permission for the conversion of the factory buildings to a mix of B1 space, a 90 bed care home and 151 extra care apartments.

TKP worked with the applicants to amend previous permissions to reflect the market demand for care in the local area and to ensure that the Council had the reassurance that the project could be delivered. TKP provided supporting evidence and negotiated with officers to ensure a positive decision.

Work on the development is due to be completed shortly and will be known as the Chocolate Quarter.
