Tetlow King Planning (TKP) is delighted to have helped secure planning approval for a third phase of development for their client Retirement Villages Group Ltd at Moat Park, Great Easton within Uttlesford District Council. The application approved nine high quality extra care cottages which will complement the existing care home and extra care apartments/cottages.

TKP acted as the agents on the application and helped instruct a team of consultants. The approved application involved detailed arguments relating to the location in the open countryside, the need for care accommodation and issues relating to the design of the units and the building regulations.

In the application Thrive Architects designed the development, TPA provided highways advice, CgMs worked on archaeology, Practical Ecology Ltd provided ecological assessment, Haydens advised on the impact on trees and Ian Stemp Landscape Associates providing advice on landscape impact.

TKP were able to demonstrate that the benefits arising from this development outweighed any harm  and that there is a demonstrable and identified need for care accommodation within Uttlesford.
