One of North Somerset’s most historic buildings gains full planning permission for conversion to a family home. An intricate barn conversion ensued following 12 months of pre-application discussions due to the site being besieged with a multiple layer of planning policy constraints and home to a bat roost. The barns located at Uphill and set within the grounds of a Grade II* listed building, Conservation Area and a Historic Park and Garden.
TKP managed a team of consultants and lead discussions with the Local Authority and Natural England. The team consisted of mjwarchitects, Michael Heaton (Heritage Specialist), Darwin Ecology Ltd, Devon Wildlife Consultants, David Bearman (Structural Engineer) and Bruton Knowles.
