Tetlow King Planning (TKP) was involved in the very first Public Examination of a Local Development Framework under the new system introduced under the Town and Country Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

The Lichfield LDF Examination opened on 25 April. Representations have been made to the Core Strategy on behalf of HomeZone which is the biggest local registered social landlord having taken transfer of the Council’s housing stock and the West Midlands RSL Planning Consortium which includes all the leading developing RSLs across the West Midlands region.

TKP attended the Examination to give evidence over a period of four days and argued that the Draft Core Strategy is unsound in several respects, identifying insufficient land for housing and providing insufficient opportunity for affordable housing to be developed.
