Uphill, North Somerset

Description

uphill-north-somersetTetlow King Planning (TKP) helped ensure that one of North Somerset’s most historic buildings gained full planning permission for conversion to a family home.  An intricate barn conversion ensued following 12 months of pre-application discussions due to the site being besieged with a multiple layer of planning policy constraints and being home to a bat roost.  The barn is located at Uphill and set within the grounds of a Grade II* Listed Building, Conservation Area and a Historic Park and Garden.

TKP managed a team of consultants and led discussions with the Local Authority and Natural England. The team consisted of mjw-architects, Michael Heaton (Heritage Specialist), Darwin Ecology Ltd, Devon Wildlife Consultants, David Bearman (Structural Engineer) and Bruton Knowles.
